Since 1997, the Pep Rally has toured more than 500 schools
across Canada.
Here’s what principals, teachers and the students have to say about the Pep Rally:
|
Wow! They were awesome!!! I did not even imagine it
could be as good as it was. I am still blown away by
the whole event. Not only was their talent a joy to
watch, but they were such great ambassadors for the
game and such great people.
… the kids and the staff were really blown away!!
The students can’t stop talking about it and the
school principal was walking on cloud nine today, just
beaming about the renewed sense of spirit that filtered
back into our school yesterday because of what you,
Conrad and Rich have done. I really have to say that,
this being my 7th year teaching, I have not experienced
such a loaded beginning of a school year… GREAT!!!

| I thought the presentation was great. It really
motivated me to achieve my goals no matter how hard
it is. Also, it showed me that even if I’m not
good at something, I should keep trying. I really liked
watching our students play against Conrad and Rich and
our teachers too. Conrad and Rich were great. The only
thing I would change would be to make the presentation
longer and leave more time for the servers to get prizes.
The presentation was really cool. --Carla B.,

I really enjoyed everything. My favourite part
was when the students and teachers played volleyball
together against the Olympians. I don’t think
that there is anything to change it was all good.

I thought your presentation was great. You guys made
some really insightful comments that made me think
about my future and what I wanted to do with it. You
also made me realize that success doesn’t happen
overnight, you have to work for a long time to reach
your goal. Also, the volleyball portion of your presentation
was great. Thanx again.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to come to our
school. I think that everyone had a lot of fun, and
you also gave a good message. I think that it made
us all realize that we don’t have to be the
best at something to reach our goals in those areas.
So thanks for taking the time to do our school in
your route across Canada.

Just a note to let you know that the feedback
from all the teachers was very positive. We have had
a number of assemblies before to try and build school
pride and you guys were able to do this in a very
casual way. There have been a number of teachers who
are carrying on your message with follow up activities
in the classroom: goal setting, dream building with
a “what’s holding you back” discussion,
and other writing/discussion activities. Over all,
it was one of the best guest speaker presentations
I have ever seen in a school. (We have had people
who have climbed Everest, crossed the Empty Quarter,
written books and more.) Very informative, personal
and it carried a real message for kids. Job well done!
Thanks again.

Dear Ms. Chow,
I thought the performance was excellent. My favourite
part was when the teachers played them. I thought
that was so funny. I also think it would be cool it
they had at least two kids games, so more people get
to play. I also though their speech was really good.
Thank you for inviting them.

Thank you very much for coming to our school.
I really enjoyed watching you guys play and I thought
that some of the things you said to us about success
were very true. I know from my experience that when
I went to Israel, I can back as a different person
and I think I will start speaking Hebrew. I thought
that you showed us a great example of someone who
had a dream, and had enough determination to pursue
that. I really enjoyed you coming to Strathcona.

I wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the presentation done
in our school by Conrad Leinemann and Rich VanHuizen
yesterday. They were excellent in delivering their
message about setting goals and striving for excellence
and I’m sure that many of our grade 7 and 8
students went away feeling inspired to try harder
to set and reach for their goals.
The session was entertaining, motivating and
informative for both students and staff.
Not only are Conrad and Rich skilled athletes
but also very skilled at engaging their audience,
entertaining them and delivering a message that is
very relevant to students and indeed to anyone who
is fortunate enough to see them.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to enjoy
their talents.
